Internal communication architecture for complex organizations

MEET INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS STRATEGIST JENNY JONES

Bringing Structure to Communication Flow — So People Can Do Their Best Work.

Grounded in Internal Communication and Editorial Practice

Hello, I’m Jenny Jones.

My professional background is intentionally diverse — allowing me to help complex organizations from different industries communicate in ways that resonate with employees.

I began my career in community journalism, where I learned the value of asking thoughtful questions, listening closely, and using storytelling to drive understanding and change.

When I later moved into association work, leading communications teams for national healthcare and STEM organizations, I saw how motivating purpose can be.

It’s also where I noticed how even organizations with strong missions struggle to communicate internally in ways that truly connect, inspire, and align employees.

Drawing on my curiosity and strengths in synthesis, sense-making, and process design, I transitioned into internal communications, working across both nonprofit and for-profit organizations. Today, I build structures that help information flow, align teams, and support people in doing their best work.

At the core, I hold a firm belief: when people understand what’s happening — and why — they’re better equipped to contribute, collaborate, and care about the work they do.
