I’ve been talking with a small group of leaders and gathering input from employees on how AI is actually being adopted inside organizations.
There’s a pattern emerging I didn’t fully expect: People are often excited about AI and still not using it in their day-to-day work.
That gap isn’t about awareness or even capability. It’s about what happens after a decision is made: how it’s interpreted, how it’s reinforced, and how it shows up (or doesn’t) in the flow of work.
I’m starting to map these patterns more intentionally, examining where AI decisions begin to break down between intent and execution.
As part of this work, I’m opening a small number of AI Adoption Gap Scans — a focused way to identify where decisions may not be translating into action.
If AI adoption is a priority in your organization, this is the work I’m doing —because successful AI implementation isn’t a tools issue. It’s an alignment issue.
